Past perfect s and c.

Past Perfect - Use

1) Together with the Simple Past

When two past actions are combined - the first action, which was completed before the second one began, is put into Past Perfect.
Mary had read the book before she watched a film.
After Amy had gone home it started to rain.

2) the past equivalent of the Present Perfect

He had played hockey.

 

Present PerfectPast Perfect
The bike is new. I've bought it.The bike was new. I had bought it.

Past Perfect - Simple PastSimple Past - Simple Past
The match had started before he arrived.The match started when he arrived.

Past Perfect Progressive/Continuous

Use

how long something had been happening before something else happened

Form

had + been + infinitive + ing

Example

I had been waiting for Susan for 2 hours when she arrived.

Hi everybody.. I want you to write a job advertisement for an English teacher of Asuncion. ( in pairs)

I want you to read the example of page 45  PR. assistant.. and do something similar....
minimum 14 lines... in 1-2 or 3 paragraphs....
